Public Art: The LAC Mural Project

The Lorain Arts Council is back at work on its Community Public Arts Project consisting of painting Murals on the back of the buildings on Broadway or painting panels to be mounted on post. We are calling on all groups or individuals that would like to be involved in this grass-roots effort to change the landscape of downtown Lorain into the next artist haven and make downtown beautiful. The art world has always been a proven economic engine and we can use it to help our town get on track with the new tourism industry that will slowly change the economic picture of this City. It is up to us to pull ourselves out of the drastic economy we have been left with,so roll up your shirt sleeves and join in. You don't have to be an artist to help paint the wonderful art that our local artist create. Anyone can hold a paint brush, so get in touch or come down, we can use all the help we can get, after all it is OUR town.
